It is the vision of our school that every student is given the very best education possible, that each individual member of our school respects the worth and contribution of the other members, and that all of our students become happy, healthy, productive members of society.

PHILOSOPHY

The Philosophy of Jonesboro-Hodge Middle School is to keep a balance between TRADITIONAL and PROGRESSIVE educational methods.

Our staff strives to develop in a student feelings of self worth and the ability to respect and get along with others.  We believe in citizenship, and recognize and stress, in a positive manner, the many qualities that represent a good citizen.

Students are the most important people in any school.

Students are not interruptions of our work - they are the purpose of it.

Students are not a statistic.  He or she is a flesh-and-blood human being
with feelings and emotions like ourselves.

Students come to us with needs and/or wants.  It is our job to fill them.

Students are deserving of the most courteous and attentive treatment
                        that we can provide.

Students are the very life blood of this and every school.  Without them,
we would have to close our doors.

The focus of the future should be on service and excellence.  We are pleased, as employees of the Jackson Parish Schools, to have the opportunity to serve and work with your children.
