WINTER CHESS TOURNAMENT

The High School winter chess tournament is underway with 30 eager and competitive participants. Many others are learning the rules of the game and how to play. Students take opportunity they have to play a game and the interest among the students is very high. At this rate, there will easily be over 600 games played by the end of the school year.

FBLA DISTRICT II LEADERSHIP COMPETITION

Weston High School Future Business Leaders of America competition team traveled to ULM Friday, February 5, 2010, to compete at the District II Leadership Conference. Thirty-three members traveled and competed in over 20 business-related competitions. “FBLA”

FALL PICTURES

Fall Pictures are scheduled for Wednesday, September 2. Class Groups and Individual Pictures will be taken on this day; both are pre-pay. Information and Order forms will be sent to homeroom teachers next week. Make sure and send money for class groups and individual in separate envelopes.

OPEN HOUSE

Weston High School will host their 2009 Open House on Tuesday, August 25th at 6:00 p.m. All 9^th - 11^th grade students and parents are asked to report to the gym. Information on the new curriculum and diploma paths will be discussed, plus TOPS.

SENIOR MEETING

All Seniors and their parents will have a Senior Meeting on August 25^th at 7:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. Scholarships and Graduation information will be given. All Seniors and their parents are encouraged to attend.
