We love to play outside on beautiful days. We have swings, slides, balls, hula hoops, and a sand box. We love to run and exercise.

During the first few weeks of school, we went on a chase looking for Chester the raccoon. Chester had escaped from the book The Kissing Hand. We looked all over the school including the hallway, the library, Mr. Strozier’s office, and the lunchroom. We hunted and hunted but you know where we found him?  We found him back in our room where he had left us stickers! It was so much fun!

One of our favorite things to do at school is learning centers.  In the block center, we have all kinds of blocks, barn with animals, houses with people!  We have math center, we learn our numbers, sorting, and counting just to name a few things! In art center, we love creating masterpieces with paint, markers, or playdough. We use our imagination in housekeeping pretending to be families with responsibilities. Learning to write our names is something we are working hard on in writing center. Reading center, sand/water table, and science center are a few places we learn through play. We are so busy learning at school!

Every day we love to use the SMARTBOARD.  There are over 1000 activities we can do to help us learn!

After a long day of learning,  we need a nap!

We had a great time at Christmas! We had several guests at our program! Parents, aunts, uncles, grandmas, grand-daddys…even Santa! JHMS was looking good that day!

The weather has been so cold and wet! We cannot remember when we had such a nice day outside! We were so grateful for a beautiful sunny dry day! It was so much fun!

We had lots of visitors in our classroom this week.  MiMi, Thing 1, Thing 2, and Cat in the Hat! We were so excited to have Greggor’s  Mimi visit at JHMS Pre-K. She read Dr. Seuss’ Happy Birthday to You book! We loved it! After the story, we had a surprise visit by Cat in the Hat, Thing 1 and Thing 2!!! Then we had cupcakes to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday! What a great day!
