About Us
The Jackson Parish School System’s Early Childhood Program is dedicated to nurturing young learners during the most important years of growth and development. Our program provides a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where children build strong foundations in learning, social skills, and emotional development. Through developmentally appropriate instruction and caring educators, we help prepare children for lifelong success in school and beyond. Enrolling your child in our early childhood program gives them a confident start, a love for learning, and the skills they need to thrive.

The online early childhood application opens March 1^st every year and is to be completed for all early childhood applications, including Public School PreK, Charter School PreK, Early Head Start, Head Start, and Type III Child Care Centers. Many programs are based on income eligibility. Complete the application regardless of income, as some programs do not have an income limit
